第83屆奧斯卡金像獎於台北時間2月28日舉行頒獎典禮，英國電影《王者之聲：宣戰時刻》拿下最佳影片、導演、男主角、原著劇本等四大獎，果然成為最大贏家，不過《全面啟動》（Inception）也獲得最佳攝影、音效、音效剪輯、視覺效果等四項技術獎項，在得獎數目上跟《王者之聲：宣戰時刻》可說平分秋色。而呼聲頗高的《社群網戰》（The Social Network）也獲得最佳改編劇本、剪輯、電影配樂三項，在得獎數目居次。影帝、影后部分，沒有意外由柯林佛斯（Colin Firth）與娜塔莉波曼（Natalie Portman）分別拿下。最悲情的應該是入圍十項的《真實的勇氣》（True Grit），竟然抱蛋而歸，成為奧斯卡史上僅次於《紫色姐妹花》與《轉捩點》（11項入圍都沒中）的摃龜王之一。
